Curious Steps Psychology
Kaedee Abel, Clinical Psychologist
Kaedee is a registered psychologist with AHPRA and a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician. Kaedee has worked in a number of different settings, including in a youth mental health service, a specialist eating disorder clinic, providing group and individual DBT-focussed treatment, and in private practice. She has experience working with a number of different presentations, including anxiety and mood disorders, OCD, personality disorders, eating disorders/difficulties and body image concerns, perfectionism, trauma (including complex trauma), and adjustment to chronic illness. For those who are neurodivergent and/or part of the LGBTIQAP+ community, she aims to provide a safe environment and work from an affirming framework.
Kaedee has undertaken specific training in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns, and as such, is eligible to provide treatment under Eating Disorder Management Plans. Kaedee frequently works with people who have overlapping concerns regarding their eating disorder and may need treatment adapted for their needs, including neurodiversity, chronic illness or disability, and complex trauma.

Think You Therapy
Katie Platts, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker & Registered Play Therapist
Katie has worked in various CYMHS settings for the last 19 + years and has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families presenting with complex and severe mental health concerns.
Katie’s practice is grounded in attachment and trauma-informed frameworks, and she works across individual, dyadic, and family modalities, drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), and various Play Therapy modalities.
Katie places strong emphasis on collaboration with carers, families, and multidisciplinary systems, and she has extensive experience working alongside foster and kinship carers and Child Safety services. Her approach prioritises safety, connection, and relational healing, supporting young people and families to build resilience, strengthen attachment relationships, and foster meaningful and sustainable change.
Katie supports children, adolescents, young adults, and families experiencing a range of concerns, including:
